Imagination
Hey guys, welcome back to the logs!
What's your definition of "imagination"? This thought was brought up by one of my supervisors. Putting the work aside, it really got me rethinking what the meaning of this word is. So, today I want to share with you guys what I have found out.
Not just for daydreaming
The first picture that came out when I really thought about this word was "daydreaming", which seems like the easiest way to use your imagination. It doesn't require much effort to imagine the life you want to live or the dream you want to chase.
After a while, I realized that imagination is not just for daydreaming and creativity. It might be closer to reality than you think, which means it can affect your real life. The reason I make this statement is that imagination does not only give you the ability to dream, it also lets you imagine the risks, the benefits and other things that lie along the road.

Devoured
But, if you overthink on the side of imagination or of reality, it would probably devour the other side. Let me give you a concrete example. Let's assume the imagination side is fear. I guess you can already tell — yes, you will be devoured by the fear that you imagine if you lose control. Let's flip it around. If you put too much on the reality side, it probably won't energize you, and it would make you feel exhausted. So, I think these two things are both integral for a good trip. They are like lubricant for each other. But honestly, do I think you can still reach your goal without this method? I would say yes, but I believe no one wants to experience it the hard way.
It's the balance, again
If you have read one of my articles called Harmony, you might feel a little familiar with the concept that I was talking about.
It's the balance. Two sides, always keeping each other in check.
